True Russian heartbeat

STRELA watches are equipped with a high quality russian mechanical 31 mm calibre movement, manufactured by our production partner MakTime Watch Factory in Moscow. These are true russian hearts to our STRELA timepieces. In 2005 MakTime acquired the 1st Moscow watch factory production line which had been manufacturing the chrono movement 3133. Staff from this production line was subsequently employed by MakTime.

31 mm caliber chronographs are unique in Russia. They are presented by the movements line on the base of 3133 with 23 ruby jewels, height: 7.38 mm, side second hand, anker move, balance anti-shock device, date calendar, summing-up stopwatch, side minute counter. Its modifications have additional functions: 31679 – lunar calendar, 31681 – 24-hour dial, 31682 – day/night indicator and 24-hour scale, 31677 – day of the week calendar.

For us, it was no question what movement to choose for our watches. Not only the convincing quality was the point, we wanted to stay true to the origins and also support the Russian watch industry. The times are rough for independant movement production. The global market and huge conglomerate companies make it hard to survive and opperate a facility like MakTime does. Mechanical timepieces have a heart. And our heartbeat is ticking the russian way. We try our best this will stay the way it is. That is a promise you can help us to achieve!
