A STRELA watch is a fine mechanical chronograph.

Our watches are made in Germany and Russia. The movements we equip our watches with, are genuine Russian MakTime movements.

STRELA translated to English means “Arrow”. In cyrillic STRELA is transcribed as “СТРЕЛА”. Our watches come in both language versions. The Latin spelled “STRELA” and the cyrillic “СТРЕЛА”. Our watches are based on vintage models made by the 1st Moscow Watch Factory from the late 50′s to the late 70′s. STRELA was a chrograph watch for the military, cosmonauts, high ranking officials and other awarded persons in the Soviet Union. Later STRELA watches were available to anyone who owned the appropriate amount in rubels. Especially the use in cosmos made this watch an icon of russian horology. STRELA is a watch brand by the Russian engineer Juri Levenberg. Today he lives in Munich, Germany and is a long term collector of meanwhile over two thousand Russian watches. He is the author of two books and other publications about Russian watches. Since more then a decade it was his dream to build his own watches. STRELA-Watch and also PILOT-Watch were the logic step for him to let this dream come true.

Fans of vintage, NOS and Russian watches made in the Soviet-Union/Soviet Russia/CCCP/UDSSR and Russia today, might not acknowledge our watches as a 100% Russian made watch. However, it’s as Russian as we can build it today. Genuine Russian movements, fully assembled watches in Russia and Russian designers for cases and dials are our measures to support our Russian partners and stay true to the Russian spirit. We are a company from Germany with Russian blood in our veines.
