The STRELA chronograph, complicated or complication?

What is a chronograph anyway? Definition: chronograph is a specific type of watch that is used as a stopwatch combined with a display watch. A basic chronograph has an independent sweep second hand; it can be started, stopped, and returned to zero by successive pressure on the stem. Louis Moinet invented the chronograph in 1816. And a STRELA chronograph?

It is the same as mentioned above, yet it comes in a timeless design, and is a 100% mechanical timepiece to enjoy in this restless digital world, and when taking about a mechanical chronograph that will accompany you in style and elegance for a reasonable price – a STRELA chronograph still is really hard to beat.

And is it complicated?

A STRELA is not complicated at all, but has her complications. Our STRELA chronographs that are powered by the famous Russian mechanical 31mm POLJOT/MakTime caliber can be enjoyed as a chronograph with two or three sub-dials measuring constant seconds, a minute totalizer (3133) or all combined together with a 24 hour scale (31681). Together with a tachymeter and/or telemeter scale that enables you to determine speed and/or distance. For the future (please join our newsletter) we will start to provide videos that show you how to use these features. Oh, and most of them will show the day of the month of course.

For now we invite you to explore our site and find out more about the technical specifications in the movement section. There you can explore our current Russian power plants we utilize in our STRELA collection.
